02 May NEWS: The ‘2023 DRAX INDOOR MARATHON’ ended successfully

DRAX, Korea’s No.1 fitness brand, hosted the ‘2023 DRAX INDOOR MARATHON’ on April 22-23
at IVEX Hyper Hall at Gwangmyeong, which ended successfully.

For an incredible prize of ₩50 million,
many famous running groups, including OpenCare and Run Cop, participated in the fierce indoor marathon with the ‘DRAX Treadmill’.
The competition was full of excitement and passion.

The venue was designed for athletes and the audience to share the excitement of running.
A three-sided LED screen showed the competition and the records live, while the 3D immersive sound system maximized the energy onsite.

Premium Ready Zone was set up at the venue for athletes to prepare safely.
Many running groups and family members attended and cheered, doubling the fun of watching the game.
DRAX also livestreamed the entire game on the YouTube channel for people to feel like they’re onsite without actually being at the venue.

For a fair competition, the game was finely tuned.
All treadmills had the same inclination (0-1%) according to the running distance and were set to start simultaneously with the start signal.
The treadmills automatically changed the speed according to the athletes’ pace.
The indoor marathon was praised for providing the same running experience as an outdoor marathon.

The final record was automatically shown on an electronic display installed on the wall
and immediately displayed on the official website and Instagram, revealing the game’s results transparently.
DRAX also prepared extra equipment to ensure athletes wouldn’t be disappointed by any malfunction.

There were 42 final winners in the individual events of 5km, 10km, and 21km, and 5 teams in the 21km team event, where three athletes joined forces.

The athletes were surprised by the special running experience provided by the DRAX Treamill and praised DRAX’s efforts in ensuring a fair, competitive environment.
