Launch of Korea’s First Digital Fitness Totol Solution ‘DRAXFit’

Korea’s No.1 fitness equipment brand, DRAX has launched Korea’s first digital fitness total solution ‘DRAXfit’ that can be applied to ‘complex sports facilities’ that provide diverse sports lessons, such as swimming, squash, golf, and yoga, beyond fitness centers.

The newly introduced ‘DRAXfit’ has changed the necessary process for operating fitness centers digitally and evolved from the early version that supported systematic training through DRAX exercise equipment. It flexibly controls complex situations that may arise from operating large-scale sports facilities, such as facility congestion and user status, and handles class and payment management, expanding its application scope to sports centers at local and public government offices, apartments, and corporate communities.

First, DRAXfit can handle simultaneous facility management and member response with an total management system. It can also systematically control the crowd level of the facility and the number of members admitted for each class, providing flexible responses to situations where the number of members admitted must be restricted by timeframe according to social distancing guidelines. In addition, individual ID cards save membership purchase history and class times, which allow systematic and efficient management of facility usage, movement, and class attendance.

The training system has also been drastically strengthened. An AI (artificial intelligence) trainer technology has been added to the step-by-step customized training that reflects individual exercise goals and provides an automatic exercise guide based on the exercise data of each member. When a member tags their ID card to use an exercise equipment, they can receive 1:1 customized training according to their condition and exercise ability reflected by their exercise record.

Furthermore, systematic sales management is also possible with payment services. Members can register for a class or to use the facility in advance without visiting or calling the center since payments, such as 1-day admission and locker fee, can be made on the DRAXfit app. It also has a deferred payment function for additional on-site costs, such as facility usage admission or exercise outfit purchase. Members can use paid services at the facility without having their wallet, cards, or mobile phone while exercising, making non-face-to-face payments and settlements possible.

When the membership expiration date approaches, DRAXfit app sends a notification and a message, which allows operators to easily manage their membership sales, and users to use the facility without interruption with the automatic notifications.

DRAXfit has been applied to the Gyeongsang National University Open Sports Complex (7,709㎡ total floor space, Basement 1 to Floor 3 size), which opened this June. The Gyeongsang National University Sports Complex is a large-scale sports complex facility with a total of 3,400 lockers and 150 DRAX exercise equipment with a built-in DRAX solution. The DRAX solution has been applied to all major facilities such as swimming pools, fitness centers, cultural sports practice rooms, and the cafeteria.

DRAX CEO Yoo Sun-kyung said that “Starting with Gyeongsang National University, DRAX plans to officially implement DRAXfit in large complex sports facilities. We will continue to update our technology and service to effectively improve operation processes in government or local government’s large-scale exercise facilities through the DRAXfit solution and provide better services to members.”
